About Me!

I'm so glad you are here!

My name is Melissa Ward. I am the Title I and ESL Coordinator for HMS. I also coordinate our PST (Problem Solving Team) program, and I am the yearbook sponsor. I work with students in their general education classrooms, and I pull students to my room for extra help.

I have two children of my own, and my personal mission in life is to treat every child that I work with the way that I would want my children treated. My goal for this blog is provide the students and parents of HMS with the tools needed to be successful during the middle school years.

I am a book nerd and love reading many different genres. I like to cook, and I would like to learn how to decorate cakes. I recently bought a Cameo Silhouette, and I really want to learn how to use it. I enjoy spending time at the lake and beach, going to football games, learning to be tech savvy (I'm trying), and spending time with my kids and my pitbull princess, Luna Lovegood.
